If you’re thinking about creating a small prairie on your property, I want you to avoid one of the mistakes I made with this one.
I purchased what was considered a wildflower mix and not a native seed mix.
So for your benefit, because I’ve spent a lot of time pulling out non-natives, I want you to make sure that you don’t buy them from the big box stores, and that when you source your seed, it says native seed mix, not just wildflower.
Stay native.
