Today I’m here with some Purple Coneflower, and I’d like to show you how simple it is to collect seeds so that you can have them for your garden next year.
One note I would like to bring up. You can see on the Coneflower here that there are seeds missing.
I try not to collect a lot of Purple Coneflower seeds because my goldfinches love them, but I also want some for myself. :-)
So you can see here, as far as Purple Coneflower goes, this is an abundance of seeds just on a partial bit of a seed head.
Very simple for me. I just put them in my little brown envelopes.
Write the name and the date, and it’s as easy as that.
Now with Coneflower, you could also take a bag such as this, place it over the coneflower heads, just clip them, and have the entire coneflower head in the bag if that’s easier for you.
If you’re interested in collecting Coneflower seeds, do so.
